& 31' Bertram "Checkmate"
Tailchaser Sportfishing was started in 2000 and is owned and operated by Chuck Baker and Sherryl Havens who reside in Parker, Arizona and Cabo San Lucas. Chuck has been fishing the Baja area since 1974. He has owned a home in Cabo since 1983 when he began fishing with his captain and manager "Lalo".
We are a small fleet
that can customize your fishing adventure to your needs. There is a large
variety of inshore and offshore species of fish. We will target your choice
whether it be Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo,
Dorado,
or Roosterfish, etc, depending on availability.
Sea Lions, Whales,
Sea Turtles, Porpoise
Your fishing adventure can be shared with your non-angler friends. The
Cabo area abounds with sea life and on any given day, you may see sea
lions, migrating whales (Nov. - March), sea turtles, schools of porpoise
in addition to the numerous species of game fish.
Inshore: Small game fish can include Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Sierra, Red Snapper, Yellowtail and Rooster fish.
Offshore: Game fish include: Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna and Striped Marlin, and Wahoo which can be caught most of the year. In the summer months (June - Dec) there are Blue Marlin, Black Marlin & Sailfish.
